kourtney & al | 04.09.11

After seeing Kourtney & Al's photos below, you will NOT believe that it was raining and storming ALL morning and into the beginning of the afternoon. For the "getting ready" photos in the hotel suite, I had my camera settings set like I was shooting a pretty dark reception. No joke--it was dark outside. You see, Kourtney & Al had been planning on an outdoor wedding on the Canal at the Indiana State Museum, and the way it looked that morning didn't look too promising at all for an outdoor ceremony. I honestly cannot believe how nice the day ended up. The temperature was perfect, the sky was clear and bright blue, and the day went off without a hitch. In fact, it was beautiful. A VERY classy event.

I've known Kourtney since before we can both probably remember. Our families attended the same church and not only was she one of my sister's best friends growing up, but Kourt and I played softball together all through high school. (And speaking of "softball," their rehearsal dinner was at a home Indianapolis Indians game and Kourtney threw out the first pitch of the game!!!! In HEELS!! Ha). Now, I've only met Al twice, but in that short amount of time I can whole-heartedly say that he is perfect for Kourtney, and vice versa. Kourtney is laid back, confident, happy, always smiling and laughing, never afraid to show her goofy side....and well, so is Al! I had the best time at your wedding! Now, onto the good stuff...

Yes, I realize that I have posted a bunch of Kourtney getting ready, but she was just so beautiful and glowing that I didn't want to stop snapping!

A jazz band played the entire evening. They set the perfect mood for the dinner and reception.

neela, zander & kaiden

It was an honor to get to shoot ON Neela's first birthday! Sure, this shoot was all about her because it was her big day, but she's got two really cute brothers who also deserved some camera time! I got to first meet this family at Neela's 6 month shoot, and she's gotten so big and tall since then! She's almost walking and stating to say words. And you'll have to checkout her little dangly earrings--she's such a cutie!

What an adorable bunch of kids you have, Praveen and Jenni! Kaiden (left), Neela (middle) & Zander (right)

cooper, carter & chandler

It was my first time working with these kiddos, and I must say, they did a fabulous job! Being a mom, i KNOW how hard it is to get kids ready, napped, fed, dressed, and out the door and arrive somewhere on-time! Well, I wanna know how Belle and Matt do it because these kids were not only all dressed and ready to go on-time, but they were all in great moods and doing their own poses for me! HA! Checkout the first pose the boys chose to do on their own at the beginning of our shoot!

Say hello to Chandler! Love that name:)

I already feel sorry for any boy that wants to date Chandler in high school. They have NO CHANCE with two older brothers like Cooper and Carter!
