leah | class of 2010

Leah is such a beautiful girl. I was so excited when I met her because I saw that she had long, flow-y (is that a word??) hair that was going to look awesome in the light wind that we had the day of our shoot. We had perfect, warm weather. Leah is a Senior at Bishop Chatard High School, and is about to graduate. Next year she'll be heading to Anderson University, where I know she'll be nothing but successful.

Meet Leah, class of 2010!

I love her hair blowing here!

One of my favorites!

Leah, you look like a model you'd see on the university bookstore poster advertising the collegiate clothing!

I asked Leah if she's always smiling, and she said yes. However, I asked if we could take just a few with a "straight face." She went along with it, and I happen to LOVE this one. Leah, you're gorgeous!

my man, jude | 4 months

My little baby is growing up too fast!!! Slow down, Jude! He's sleeping right now as I'm working on these photos, and just looking at them for the past couple of hours make me want to go wake him up just so I can hold him in my arms. Don't worry, I'm going to let the little man sleep! Ha! Jude just had his 4 month doctor appointment on Friday, and he weighed in at a whopping 15lb 5oz. He's my growing boy that takes after his momma when it comes to having a BIG appetite! I'm not gonna lie.

Now that Jude is 4 months, he's wearing size 2 diapers, still loving his jumperoo, smiling all the time, talking and responding (in jibberish, of course) when someone is talking to him, finally falling asleep in his car seat on our drives (this used to be a nightmare), rolling over, teething, slobbering a ton, loving bath time, holding onto toys, eating a little baby food, sitting up in his highchair, loving the nice weather, swinging outside, and SO many more things that I can't even think of right now.

These photo shoots stress me out though! I know how all you moms out there feel when picture day rolls around. You'd think that, as a photographer, it would be a cinch shooting my own kid. Definitely not the case. Next time I know I need to bring grandma along with us so that she can be standing behind me as I shoot to get some smiles out of this boy. He smiles all the time, but of course, today wasn't his day. Oh well, I love capturing every movement, every expression (even if it's not a smile), every "first time", and every new experience. Having a kid makes me cherish photos even more than I used to. And Jude, I happen to love you in these shots!!!

Say hi to my 4 month old, Jude Maxwell Sangar! This was his first time laying in the grass! He didn't mind it. I caught him trying to eat the grass:)

I love how he holds his hands as if he's pondering something...

Jude wants to totally skip the "trying-to-sit-up" stage and just move straight to standing. Seriously, the guy doesn't bend at the waste.

Awww, my favorite...

Simon took some shots of me and the little guy...

Ha! I snuck this one in!! Every little boy needs some boxer briefs and a tank. I shot these of Jude the other night. I didn't realize it at the time, but his bedhead hairdo fits perfectly with the scene! HA!

Mommy loves you, Jude.

He bites his hands. All. The. Time. Jude is getting his first tooth, and guess which one it is? Bet you didn't guess that it was is bottom MOLAR!! Not joking.

Jude has been holding onto toys lately, and he digs his Ugly Doll that our friend, Nelson, bought for him!

Another fave. I love Jude's eyes here...

Yeah, I gotta do something about his hair. It's getting so incredibly long. I hate to cut it, but I may have to breakdown and just do it.

samantha, graci & avery

These kids are no strangers to this blog! It's always a treat to get to work with Samantha, Graci & Avery. They were on their best behaviors and took so many cute photos in such a short amount of time. We were racing to beat the rain, and in the end, we all left a little wet! Ha! These were mainly focused on Avery, as he recently turned two years old, but I can't help but shoot all of these kiddos because they're just so darn cute!

Love Avery's dimple, his personality, his style, his hair and well, just about everything about him! He really likes tractors!

(6)

How can so many cute kids come from ONE family??!!

There's that dimple again:)

Samantha is getting so old and mature!

Love this one:)
