Laura and Bart's wedding will be here before we know it! Laura's aunt and uncle graciously hosted an engagement party for them a couple of weekends ago, and they asked that I come photograph it and all of the details they had planned. The guests all pitched-in and bought the happy couple an awesome new grill, so the theme of the party sort of revolved around that. SUCH a cute idea and an over-the-top party! I'm so happy I could be a small part of it!

I'm gonna start things off a little differently this time. This shot here looks more like a behind-the-scenes type of photo, but I'm not sure I could take a photo that better captures the fun, female, loving, supportive, crazy-chaotic-happy family that these SEVEN individuals make up. Poor Mike is the only male in the bunch. We laughed because, as a wedding photographer, I know just how expensive weddings can be and I said, "Mike, you better start saving your pennies for the FIVE weddings you're going to someday have." But then he told me that before those weddings, he has to pay for TEN proms (assuming each girl goes her junior and senior year)!! Ha. Can you even imagine? I sure can't. But you know what?...these two manage these girls with ease and it always amazes me. Everyone's always dressed, hair bows in, doing their homework--it's like a well-oiled machine and everyone knows their role. I'm not sure how you guys do it, Ellen and Mike, but you do it extremely well. This shoot was technically for Ally's 3 month photos, but as you know I always like to capture the entire family around the baby too:)

I love getting to see these kiddos. It's hard to believe that a year has passed since I was at their house photographing Emma as a newborn! Natalie had so many little "helpers" that day with the baby. Ha! I'm not sure how she does it all, but Natalie does a great job with all four kids. We missed their daddy this time, but we'll see the WHOLE family this Fall! Checkout these cute kids!
